Overview

Wichita State’s online business fundamentals graduate certificate is ideal for professionals with managerial responsibilities, but who lack a formal undergraduate business education. The certificate provides business knowledge essential to handling day-to-day business operations, managing workplace issues and developing positive business relationships.

Curriculum

This online 12-credit-hour certificate consists of the following courses:

• Fundamentals of Accounting
• Fundamentals of Finance
• Marketing Basics
• Management Basics
• Analysis of Macro-Economic Theory
• Analysis of Micro-Economic Theory
• Organizational Behavior OR Management Information Systems

Admission to the Program

There are two paths to admission to the program:

• For those already enrolled in graduate school, simply complete the Declaration of Intent to Pursue a Certificate Form.
• Prospective students should apply using the Graduate School application for admission.
• International students may enroll in the certificate program but have to make sure it complies with their visa requirements.
