Graduate Certificate: Advanced Business Fundamentals

Overview

Wichita State’s advanced business fundamentals graduate certificate equips professionals with additional skills for career success in a variety of settings. Certificate holders will be able to:

• Extend business knowledge to perform managerial responsibilities and manage workplace issues.
• Demonstrate an ability to manage different functional areas in an organization.
• Apply qualitative and quantitative techniques to make informed decisions.

Curriculum

Credits earned toward the certificate may be applicable to eligible master's programs, such as the Master of Business Administration, and allow graduates to apply for an exemption from the standardized testing associated with graduate business programs. The certificate is offered in online and hybrid formats—and can be completed in as little as one year.

Admission to the Program

There are two paths to admission to the program:

• For those already enrolled in graduate school, simply complete the Declaration of Intent to Pursue a Certificate Form.
• Prospective students should apply using the Graduate School application for admission.
• International students may enroll in the certificate program but must make sure it complies with their visa requirements.
