Overview
Wichita State’s undergraduate certificate program in community psychology helps students develop the skills necessary to address social issues through community interventions and partnerships. Community psychology works to address health disparities, amplify the voices of historically excluded populations, and empower communities to create solutions that meet their needs.
Curriculum
The 16-credit-hour certificate is open to psychology and non-psychology majors and covers the following courses:
- Social psychology
- Psychological statistics
- Research methods in psychology
- Introduction to community psychology
- Field work in psychology
