Overview
The Design Thinking Undergraduate Certificate is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to apply design thinking methods in fast-moving environments. This adaptable approach to problem-solving is efficient, innovative, and reduces risks through rapid prototyping and testing.
Curriculum
To complete the design thinking undergraduate certificate, students will take 8 credit hours of required courses:
- Design Thinking and Innovation
- Design Sprints
- Design Thinking Challenges
Students will also choose one elective course from the following:
- Agile Product Management
- Design Thinking
- Service Design Thinking
Enrollment
To add this certificate to their plan of study, students will:
- Log into the myWSU portal
- Find the Student Tools box (center of the page) and click "Change my Major/Minor"
- Click continue (this will show their current major and minor)
- Click continue, then click on "Add a certificate" and choose their certificate program
- Click continue and submit request
