Overview
Wichita State’s graduate certificate in online learning and educational technology is an online program for educators, trainers, and professional developers who wish to advance their knowledge of online course design, information technology in education, integrate technology into classroom instruction or professional settings, and use technology for communication and professional productivity.
Curriculum
The program offers Information and Communication Technology (ICT) education to educators, trainers, and professional developers who wish to advance their knowledge of online teaching, information technology in education, integration of various emerging technologies into instruction or professional development programs, and the use of technology for communication and professional productivity. Through six credit hours of core courses and six credit hours of electives, the certificate will provide foundational knowledge and skills about online course design, ways of integrating ICT in educational and other professional settings, as well as opportunities to advance ICT knowledge and skills related to subject matter-specific topics.
Admission to the Program
There are two paths to admission to the program:
- For those already enrolled in graduate school, simply complete the Declaration of Intent to Pursue a Certificate Form.
- Prospective students should apply using the Graduate School application for admission.
