Degree Overview:
The Bachelor of Science (BS) in health management offers four programs of study: aging studies, health administration, health science, and public health. The degree serves as a foundation for entry- and mid-level management careers in a hospital or medical clinic, long-term care community, or public health organization. It also serves as a foundation for graduate education in health administration, public health, or aging studies.

- Curriculum: Students complete a health management core curriculum that serves as the foundation for health services delivery, population health, assessment, and leadership. Students choose one of four concentrations:
- Aging Studies: Prepares students for entry-level positions in senior centers, senior living communities, nonprofit or for-profit aging organizations, or graduate education in aging studies.
- Health Administration: Prepares students for entry-level positions in nonprofit and for-profit clinical health care organizations or graduate education in health administration.
- Health Science: Prepares students for professional health care positions providing clinical, laboratory, and sales support through government, academic, and private organizations.
- Public Health: Prepares students for entry-level positions in state and local health departments, health-related nonprofit and for-profit organizations, or graduate education in public health.
- Applied Learning: Every degree offered at Wichita State has a guaranteed applied learning or research experience built into it, equipping students with the relevant skills and experience to be workforce-ready before graduation.
