Overview
Understanding the complex health system is essential to effectively lead a health organization. The graduate certificate in healthcare leadership (GCHCL) from Wichita State expands upon business knowledge and expertise to advance career potential in health administration.
Curriculum
The online GCHCL curriculum immerses students in healthcare finance, healthcare policy and administration, and healthcare leadership and operations management. Students then specialize in human resources, law and ethics, informatics, rural healthcare, strategic planning and analytics, or quality.
Students who earn the certificate and then wish to pursue the Master of Health Administration (MHA) program may transfer all credit hours to the MHA.
Admission to the Program
There are two paths to admission to the program:
- For those already enrolled in graduate school, simply complete the Declaration of Intent to Pursue a Certificate Form.
- Prospective students should apply using the Graduate School application for admission.
