Graduate Certificate in Lean Systems
The graduate certificate in lean systems at Wichita State provides advanced knowledge and methodology of lean systems design, evaluation, and operation for practitioners in industry who are responsible for the development and management of production systems in the workplace. Curriculum focuses on the essential knowledge, analytical techniques, guidelines, and contemporary issues in the design, evaluation, and management of lean systems in industry.
Curriculum
To complete the certificate, students will choose 12 credit hours from the following courses:
- Production Systems
- Statistical Methods for Engineers
- Design of Experiments
- Lean Manufacturing
- Supply Chain Management
- Independent Study in Industrial Engineering
Students must complete the prerequisite, Operations Research I, before starting the certificate courses.
Admission to the Program
There are two paths to admission to the program:
- For those already enrolled in graduate school, simply complete the Declaration of Intent to Pursue a Certificate Form.
- Prospective students should apply using the Graduate School application for admission.
