Graduate Certificate in Public Finance

The graduate certificate in public finance at Wichita State is designed for state, county, and local professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills in public finance. This certificate can also be completed as part of WSU's Master of Public Administration program and is offered in a fully online format.

Curriculum

To complete the 12-credit-hour graduate certificate, students will take the following courses:

• Public Sector Economics
• Public and Nonprofit Financial Management
• State and Local Government Budgeting
• Fundraising and Financial Management in Nonprofit Organizations

Admission to the Program

There are two paths to admission to the program:

• For those already enrolled in graduate school, complete the Declaration of Intent to Pursue a Certificate Form.
• Prospective students should apply using the Graduate School application for admission.
