Overview

Wichita State’s graduate certificate in systems engineering and management teaches students to apply systems concepts and techniques to the understanding, description, design and management of large-scale systems requiring the integration of information and human activity.


Curriculum

The curriculum focuses on the essential knowledge, analytical techniques, and contemporary issues in complex systems definition, design and decision making. Program prerequisite: Calculus II


To complete the certificate, you’ll choose 12 credit hours from the following courses:


  • Engineering Management
  • Statistical Methods for Engineers
  • Analysis of Decision Processes
  • Systems Engineering and Analysis
  • Lean Manufacturing
  • Modeling and Analysis of Discrete Systems

Admission to the Program

There are two paths to admission to the program:


  • For those already enrolled in graduate school, simply complete the Declaration of Intent to Pursue a Certificate Form.
  • Prospective students should apply using the Graduate School application for admission.
