Program Overview

The School Nurse Endorsement program is a nine-month online program for licensed nurses seeking to transition to school nursing. It equips nurses with the skills and knowledge required for school nurse licensure in Illinois. The program includes four online courses and an 11-week full-time internship in a school setting, preparing nurses for a more regular work schedule and improved work-life balance. Upon completion, graduates can take the Illinois State School Licensure Content Exam to obtain an ISBE School Nurse license.
