Program Overview
The Art BA, Visual Arts Management track, provides a balance of art theory and business management skills. Students develop a foundation in art techniques, explore art history, and gain knowledge in areas such as marketing and nonprofit management. The program culminates in a capstone course that applies management principles to the visual arts industry.
Program Outline
A minor or approved area of emphasis is required to compliment the degree or explore a different area of interest. As part of the program, some courses study the form and proportion of the human figure nude models are used as reference.

- Foreign Language Requirements: Admissions Met by graduation requirement Graduation Proficiency equivalent to one year of college instruction in a single foreign language taught by the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures or the Department of History (Hebrew). Standardized examinations for foreign languages may be used to meet the requirement.

- Required Minor or Area of Concentration (18 Credit Hours): Students must complete a minor of at least 18 hours. University upper division credit hour requirements must be met. Students are discouraged from taking excess hours and should consider total credit hours required when selecting a minor. When no official minor is offered, students may complete an 18-credit-hour area of concentration when pre-approved by the program Area Coordinator.
- Departmental Exit Requirements: Achieve at least a 2.0 GPA in all courses used to satisfy major requirements.

- A 2.0 UCF GPA
- 42 semester hours of upper division credit completed
- 60 semester hours earned after CLEP awarded
- 30 of the last 39 hours of course work must be completed in residency at UCF.
- A maximum of 45 hours of extension, correspondence, CLEP, Credit by Exam, and Armed Forces credits permitted.
- Complete the General Education Program, the Gordon Rule, and nine hours of Summer credit.

- Students are required to complete a minor or an area of concentration to graduate.
- Students who complete a double major fulfill the minor or area of concentration requirement automatically.
- Departmental Residency Requirement consists of at least 18 semester hours of regularly scheduled 3000-4000 level courses taken from the UCF School of Visual Arts and Design. However, if a student wishes to enroll in upper level portfolio restricted Studio Art courses, they will need to successfully complete the Studio Art Portfolio.
- Students must earn at least a "C" (2.0) in each course required for the major.
- Co-op internship credits are not permitted in this major without prior written permission.
- Students should consult with their SVAD advisor each semester.
- Students interested in completing Honors in the Major should contact their program advisor. Up to 6 hours can be used toward elective, hours must be complete through SVAD.
- Grades less than a "C" (2.0) are not accepted.
- Lower division courses do not substitute for upper division courses.
- Courses transferred from private and out-of-state schools must be evaluated for equivalency credit.

- Part-Time Student: $31.50 per term
- Full-Time Student: $63 per term
