The Career and Technical Education, Workforce Training and Development (B.S.) track is a non-certification degree program that focuses on developing workforce and talent development trainers. The Workforce Training and Development track prepares graduates for employment in various workforce training professional careers, including corporate, workforce, and technical trainers as well as talent developers in all areas of industry. The courses in this track are offered completely online.

- Students must complete an area of specialization through occupation-specific courses approved by advisor.
- Technical Specialization courses can be lower and/or upper division electives.

- ECW3064 - Workforce Training and Development Fundamentals (3)
- ECW4103 - Workforce Training and Development Instructional Planning (3)
- Earn at least 3 credits from the following types of courses: Upper division elective with advisor's approval
- Directed Field Experience (12 Total Credits)
- Earn at least 12 credits from the following types of courses: Directed Field Experience/Internship : ECT 4941 has a special registration through the academic program advisor.
- The Technical Specialization section must be satisfied and all courses must be completed prior to registering.
- This supervised internship may be completed in an educational or industrial setting, or with the UCF program faculty assisting in teaching web-based courses.
- The internship course has a S/U grading policy.
- An internship application and other requirements are necessary before admission into the internship course.
Assessment:
- Achieve a minimum 2.0 GPA in all courses within the major.
- Achieve a minimum 2.0 GPA in the specialization coursework.
- Achieve a minimum 2.0 GPA in the education core advanced level coursework.
- Achieve a minimum overall 2.0 GPA
- Complete the 12-credit hour internship course
