Kinesiology B.S. – Exercise and Sport Physiology
The Kinesiology B.S. program is designed for students interested in pursuing careers in sport science, health promotion, medicine, wellness, strength and conditioning, and clinical healthcare. The Exercise and Sport Physiology Track prepares students to take the Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP-C) exam offered by the American College of Sports Medicine.

Program Description
The bachelor's degree program in Kinesiology combines classroom coursework, practical field experiences, current research, and didactic laboratory experiences to build foundational knowledge in exercise science. The curriculum prepares students for professional certification exams from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM).

Departmental Exit Requirements
- A minimum overall GPA of 2.5.
- Students must take a minimum of 24 hours of upper division Kinesiology courses from the UCF Kinesiology program to obtain the Kinesiology BS degree.
- Exercise and Sport Physiology specialization students must provide evidence of completing the Certified Exercise Physiologist (EP-C) exam offered by the American College of Sports Medicine (or alternative certification as approved by the program) during APK 4950 Capstone in Kinesiology.
University Minimum Exit Requirements
- A 2.0 UCF GPA
- 42 semester hours of upper division credit completed
- 30 of the last 39 hours of course work must be completed in residency at UCF.
- A maximum of 45 hours of extension, correspondence, CLEP, Credit by Exam, and Armed Forces credits permitted.
- Complete the General Education Program, the State Writing and Math Requirement, and nine hours of Summer credit.
