Program Overview
Environmental Engineering (BSVE) Program
The Environmental Engineering (BSVE) program at the University of Central Florida focuses on air pollution control, water and wastewater treatment, solid and hazardous waste management, environmental health, and remediation. This program prepares students for state-regulated professional licensure or certification.
Program Description
Environmental engineers work to protect society from adverse environmental factors and to protect the environment from natural and human activities. With a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering, students can improve the quality of life and safety of society by planning, designing, permitting, and maintaining projects that comply with regulations and improve water, soil, and air quality.
Career Opportunities
Environmental engineering graduates often find positions in the design industry, consulting firms, regulatory agencies, utilities, and municipal, state, and federal government agencies, as well as academic institutions. This program also prepares students for professional licensure and certification opportunities to further their careers.
