Program Overview

The Integrative and Conservation Biology PhD program at UCF equips students with a multidisciplinary foundation in biological sciences for leadership roles in research, academia, NGOs, or government. The program emphasizes problem-solving in integrative or conservation biology through applied and basic research, culminating in an original dissertation. Students develop expertise in diverse areas such as ecology, evolution, physiology, genetics, behavior, and conservation, preparing them for careers involving independent research or applying cutting-edge principles to real-world challenges.
