Program Overview

The Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Graduate Certificate program prepares advanced practice nurses to diagnose and treat mental health conditions in various settings. The program consists of 24 credit hours of online courses offered in sequence every other year, with the next course sequence starting in Spring 2025. Applicants must have completed an APRN graduate program and specific coursework in pathophysiology, health assessment, pharmacology, and health promotion. Successful completion of all courses is required for the certificate.
