Program Overview

The Graduate Certificate in Applied Depositional Geosystems (ADG) equips students with advanced skills in geology, mathematics, and physical sciences for careers in the energy industry, government agencies, and academia. The program requires completion of five courses from a specified list, providing a foundation for work in petroleum and water exploration, as well as environmental geology and engineering. Admission to LSU Graduate School and the Department of Geology & Geophysics is required.
