Program Overview

The Master of Arts in Liberal Arts (MALA) offers two tracks: a thesis track (30 credits) and a non-thesis track (36 credits). Both tracks require students to work closely with a graduate advisory committee and complete coursework, including required courses LIBA 7000 and LIBA 7900. The thesis track culminates in a thesis defense, while the non-thesis track concludes with an exit examination.
