Program Overview

This certificate program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between climate change and public health. The curriculum covers the health effects of climate change, policies and practices to address these effects, the role of various sectors in addressing climate change, and strategies to mitigate and prevent adverse health outcomes. The program requires a minimum of 18 term credits and includes coursework in energy, environment, risk sciences, climate change, environmental justice, and public health emergency preparedness. Students are required to complete two core courses and choose additional coursework from a list of electives.
