Objectives:

- Install and service air conditioning systems in various settings, such as office buildings and fishing boats.
- Assemble commercial refrigeration and air conditioning system components.
- Fabricate and assemble commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
- Demonstrate knowledge of electrical safety and safe working practices.
- Apply safe welding procedures and join metals using torch brazing and soldering processes.
Teaching:
- The program includes a coolroom and up-to-date testing equipment.
- Some aspects of the program are physically demanding.
- A small component of the program is delivered by a sub-contractor.
- Students may be required to complete literacy and numeracy assessments.

- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is available for students who have prior work experience or qualifications in the field.
