Through four 15-credit courses, students learn respectful terms for surroundings, family, community, and culture, as well as how to MC events and acknowledge distinguished individuals. The program can be completed in one year, with a maximum completion time of four years.

Degree Overview:
Learn how to take the everyday conversations and formalise them to engage more appropriately with your elders, matai, and faife'au, through the use of ‘Gagana fa’aaloalo’. By the end of the programme you will be able to engage comfortably in more formal contexts within the family and church setting, community functions and workplace. You will learn skills on how to MC events and acknowledge distinguished guests.

- 830.415 My family (Samoa) (15 credits): Learn to apply formal language in Samoa in family contexts.
