Outline

This module aims to teach students about interdisciplinary research and problem solving.

Practicalities

On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:

• Source and familiarise oneself with scientific information on a given topic.
• Write a summative literature-based report on the given topic.
• Independently perform a selection of experimental procedures pertinent to the area of research of the supervisor.
• Independently assess data relating to the area of research of the supervisor.
• Produce a written report on the experimental approaches taken and data acquired.
• To logically discuss and draw conclusions from data and the skills acquired.
• To write a reflective narrative on the value of the transferable skills acquired.

Requirements

To be eligible to apply, students must be currently:

• 1st or 2nd year undergraduate student registered in the School of Nursing and Midwifery
• 2nd year undergraduate CUBS registered students
