The Psychology with Criminology BSc (Hons) is a three-year full-time program with options for a four-year full-time program including a sandwich year, a four-year full-time program including a foundation year, and a six-year part-time program.
Year 1:
- Foundations of Psychology (30 credits): This module introduces students to core areas of psychological science, including biological psychology, learning, sensory and perceptual processes, memory, thought and knowledge, language, social, developmental, neuropsychology, individual differences, and clinical psychology.
- Psychology Research Methods 1 (30 credits): This module introduces students to key strategies used in psychological research, including experimental design, hypothesis testing, and statistical analysis using SPSS.
- Psychology Research Methods 2 (30 credits): This module builds on Research Methods 1, covering advanced research designs and inferential statistics, including analysis of variance, regression analysis, factor analysis, and qualitative research methods.
Sandwich Year:
The sandwich year option takes place between Year 2 and Final Year, providing students with a placement within a relevant setting to gain essential experience for their future career.
Final Year:
- Psychology Research Project (30 credits): This module enables students to design and execute an empirical research project on a topic agreed upon with a Psychology staff supervisor.
