This Advanced Research Design module aims to equip students with the skills to find, appraise, and utilize research, as well as plan and design their own research projects. The module aims to prepare students to define a suitable research question and use this as a basis for identifying appropriate research methodologies for a small-scale research project or dissertation.

  • Plan and outline a rationale for a piece of primary research, secondary analysis, literature review, or audit.

  • Gain an overview of methodologies and methods commonly used in health and social care policies and working environments.

Assessment:

  • 100% coursework assessment.

Teaching:

  • Delivered on campus in September.
  • Delivered online in January.

  • The module is designed to enable students to plan and outline a rationale for a piece of primary research, secondary analysis, literature review, or audit.

Fees quoted are for the first year only. If you are studying a course that lasts longer than one year your fees will increase each year.


Payment Information

Tuition fee instalments for the semester are due by the Monday of week 1 of each semester. If the leaving date is after week 4, full fees for the semester are payable.
