Overview

The Certificate in Business Analytics is designed to give students a well-rounded foundation in analytics in eight courses. Taking courses from the Decision Sciences, Economics, and Information Systems departments, students will be prepared to launch a career or enroll in a Master of Science program in analytics.

Admissions Requirements

• Applicants must have completed at least 56 units of university coursework with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Provide official evidence of English proficiency.
• Students must have a statistics course equivalent to DS 212/ECON 212 or MATH 124 and an information systems course equivalent to ISYS 263.
• Students admitted conditionally will be expected to complete the missing coursework in order to meet necessary prerequisite requirements.
• To take the economics courses in the certificate, students would need to have the equivalent of ECON 101 and ECON 102.

1. Students demonstrate effective communication skills in analyzing business situations using quantitative techniques.
2. Students demonstrate the ability to quantitatively analyze business situations.
