Program Overview

The Minor in Middle East and Islamic Studies provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the region's history, politics, and culture from ancient times to the present. Students will choose courses from a variety of disciplines to explore the diverse cultures and civilizations of the Middle East and the Islamic world. This multidisciplinary minor prepares students for careers in various fields, including politics, business, education, and journalism. Additionally, students are encouraged to gain proficiency in a relevant language and participate in study-abroad programs to enhance their immersion in the region.
