This four-year undergraduate degree program blends computer science (particularly software development) and business studies. It equips students with strong technical skills in Java and Ruby, as well as interpersonal and business acumen, preparing them for a range of IT and business-related careers. This course aims to develop skilled IT professionals with strong software and related skills and a good knowledge of how businesses function. It combines computer studies, particularly software development, with business subjects. On graduating, you’ll combine technical, business and interpersonal skills regarded as being important to industry, and that are in constant demand by employers. The technical skills include a high level of proficiency in Object-Oriented Software Development through Java and Ruby. The Interpersonal Skills, Communication Skills and the Project Management modules along with a work placement will develop your personal effectiveness in the workplace, while business and information systems topics provide a framework for workplace effectiveness.
