The Technology of Prosthetic Dentistry Program at Galala University (GU) is a unique program that provides students with the opportunity to join a one-of-a-kind field in Egypt. The program qualifies graduates to work in dental laboratories and provides them with the basic sciences, practical skills, and mastery of dental equipment and devices based on a full understanding of engineering fundamentals.


Objectives:

  • To provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge of the construction of complete and partial dentures, whether acrylic or cobalt chrome.
  • To train students in the construction of fixed prostheses, including metal-related ceramics, complete ceramics, and prostheses supported by dental implants.
  • To equip students with the theoretical and practical knowledge to fabricate different orthodontic devices used in dentistry.
  • To teach students how to build facial and maxillofacial prostheses, such as ears, nose, and eyes.
  • To train students in performing different oro-maxillofacial radiographic pictures according to the prescription of a dentist.
