The Interior Architecture Program at King Salman International University is designed to create a balance between innovation and thoughtful design thinking. The program aims to equip graduates with problem-solving techniques, study them in detail, and explore design environment functional and livable solutions that suit people's cultural needs.
Program Description
The program focuses on human-centered design as a product of strategic thinking and R&D (research & development), reflecting the dynamics of the actual business based on realistic design set-ups through practical projects. Students will develop a firm knowledge of technical graphic communication and the ability to present information both manually and digitally.

Program Learning Outcomes
The program is designed to achieve the following learning outcomes:
- Providing academic preparation for the professional interior designer according to international standards
- Helping students understand the history of the internal environment from a global perspective
- Having a strong basic knowledge of integrated building systems, especially for lighting and information technology
- Gaining high-level experience in visual design media, including graphic design, digital presentation, and various design techniques
- Having the knowledge and technical ability to identify materials and raw materials based on beauty and performance, and know how to work with material and material processes, including traditional manufacturing and digital manufacturing
- Preparing students to lead international design in a culturally diverse, economically and rapidly growing profession
- Learning about physical behaviors and the formation of assemblies that affect the performance of internal systems and applications, including durability, and sustainability
- Using a scientific methodology based on visual studies for "internal reading" as it relates to culture and housing

- Any student who gets the minimum required score for the Faculty of Art & Design and who successfully passed the admission exams and interview could apply for the program.

- Each student can apply to only one specialization.
- When do I choose my specialization?
- Each student can choose his/her specialization before the first academic year.
- How do I change my specialization?
- Each student can change his/her specialization during the first academic year after the approval of his/her academic advisor.

- Each student can choose from the elective courses the program offers.

- How many years does it take to complete one of the Art & Design Undergraduate Degrees?
- It takes eight semesters/four years to complete the degree.

- The degree will be accepted inside and outside Egypt.
- How many courses do I have to study?
- To get the degree, each student has to study 51 courses.
- How many credit hours should a student attend to accomplish the program?
- To get the degree, each student has to complete 141 credit hours successfully.
- Can I apply for a Master's Degree anywhere if I get my KSIU degree?
- If you get the KSIU bachelor's degree, you can apply for a master's degree anywhere inside or outside Egypt.
- If I have problems during my studies, what help is available to me?
- If you have any academic or non-academic problems during your studies, you can contact your academic advisor.
- Is there a lot of coursework and exams that I have to do?
- The course contact hours are divided between the lecture room, the computer lab, the drawing hall and the field trips outside the campus, it is a fun and enjoyable time as well as very valuable to students. The exams are scheduled and announced in advance.
- What types of courses are offered by the Interior Architecture program?
- The Interior Architecture program offers a variety of courses, including university-requirement classes such as critical thinking, climate change and sustainability, and scientific research skills; faculty-requirement courses such as Architectural Drawing, Perspective, Principles of Design, Urban Design & Landscape and Visual Studies/ Landscape.

- The program requires the student to complete the graduation project in the last academic year.

- The students will get a validated degree from the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities.

- The Interior Design department offers a variety of academic and sports activities to students. The educational activities include regular trip visits to cultural and artistic sites, and academic art and design competitions and projects, community service projects. The non-academic activities include sports activities inside the campus (swimming, tennis, football, volleyball, and handball) and outside campus activities (supervised events, open days).
