Program Overview


The SQE1 Exam Preparation Course is a concise revision program designed for law graduates or holders of conversion law qualifications. Through live sessions, practice assessments, and expert lecturer support, the course aims to enhance participants' confidence and prepare them for the SQE1 assessments in functioning legal knowledge. This short course does not lead to an academic award but provides ample practice through the ULaw SQE revision app and feedback on practice assessments.

Program Outline

This short course provides a comprehensive revision of all legal areas you have previously studied. It’s ideal for students with a law degree or conversion law qualification. It will provide you with the opportunity to practise answering single best answer questions (SBAQs) in readiness for the SRA’s SQE1 assessments in functioning legal knowledge (FLK).

  • Business Law and Practice, Contract and Ethics
  • Dispute Resolution, Tort and Ethics
  • Criminal Law and Practice and Ethics
  • Property Practice, Land Law and Ethics/Solicitors Accounts
  • Wills and the Administration of Estates, Trusts and Ethics/Solicitors Accounts

Assessment:

  • This is a short revision preparation course.
  • Full onboarding instructions and guidance will be provided upon enrolment on the course.
  • Each 2 hour session on practice and law will involve a timed SQE1 style assessment.
  • Each practice assessment consists of SBAQs.
  • You will have a short break after each practice assessment before receiving feedback from a subject expert tutor on your assessment results, including tips and guidance.
  • You will sit your SQE assessments at Pearson VUE test centres in the UK and internationally.
  • Your lecturer will monitor your progress and give you individual feedback using predictive analytics, so you’ll know where to focus.
