Degree Overview:
This program is a 1-year Graduate Certificate offered at the Niagara-on-the-Lake campus. It aims to equip graduates with the specialized skills needed for careers in environmental fields like environmental site assessment, organizational sustainability, and waste management.

The program is structured into two terms:
Term One (Fall):
- ENVR9100 Environmental Laws and Regulations (3 credits): This course covers environmental legislation and regulations relevant to the field.
- ENVR9102 Environmental Analysis I (3 credits): This course introduces students to environmental analysis techniques and methodologies.
- ENVR9104 Environmental Communications (3 credits): This course focuses on effective communication strategies for environmental issues.
- ENVR9107 Waste Management Systems (2 credits): This course explores waste management systems, processes, and procedures.
- ENVR9140 Occupational Health and Safety (3 credits): This course covers health and safety regulations and practices in environmental settings.

Entry Requirements:
- Ontario College Diploma (or equivalent) in Environmental Technician/Technology; Ecosystem Management Technician/Technology; or
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology; Earth Sciences; Ecology; Environmental and Resources Studies/Management; Environmental Science; Environmental Engineering; or
- Submit a cover letter and resume outlining an acceptable combination of environmental work experience and postsecondary education (as determined by the college) and
- Proof of English proficiency
Selection and Ranking:
- Testing or other supplemental evaluation may be required.
