Program Overview

Sacred Heart University's 42-credit MSN PMHNP program prepares BSN-prepared nurses to become Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs). Through a combination of online coursework, faculty mentorship, and 540 hours of practicum experience, students develop the skills to manage the care of patients with mental health conditions. Graduates are eligible for certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and are prepared to provide specialized psychiatric care in various healthcare settings.
