Program Overview

The Communication Disorders (CMD) major is typically completed as a four-year bachelor's degree program. Students can also complete the major in three years through an accelerated 3+2 program, which requires meeting specific requirements and potentially taking courses during non-traditional terms. To enter the SHU graduate program in Speech-Language Pathology, students must complete the bachelor's degree with a GPA of 3.0 or better in major courses, apply through the SHU Graduate Admissions Portal, complete an interview, and observe certified speech-language pathologists or audiologists for 25 hours.
