Chemistry, B.A. and Chemical Engineering, B.S. (Washington University) Dual Degree

Overview

The dual degree program in chemical engineering allows students to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Saint Louis University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis in five years. The program involves three years of study at SLU and two years at Washington University.


Admission

Students apply first to Saint Louis University, then typically apply to Washington University by February 28 during their junior or senior years. Students are encouraged to review Washington University's dual degree program admission requirements.


Requirements

Students must complete all Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry requirements at Saint Louis University and the following courses:


  • CSCI 1060: Introduction to Computer Science: Scientific Programming (3 credits)
  • MATH 1510: Calculus I (4 credits)
  • MATH 1520: Calculus II (4 credits)
  • MATH 2530: Calculus III (4 credits)
  • MATH 3550: Differential Equations (3 credits) Total Credits: 18
