Program Overview

Saint Louis University's graduate certificate in educational equity is constructed for individuals who seek to pinpoint, object and dismantle unjust trends in schools and communities. Coursework furnishes students with the tools to have discussions about race and racism, address learners' disengagement in school, build culturally relevant curriculum and develop genuine relationships with youth from diverse racial groups, socioeconomic backgrounds, language communities and sexual orientations. The certificate is intentionally designed with the purpose of giving support to equity initiatives underway in school districts across the St. Louis region by offering a setting where people who think alike can exchange knowledge and collectively strategize.
