Program Overview


The Mechanical Techniques program, Precision Metal Cutting is designed to offer training in industrial machine operation and repair, with a focus on precision machining and tooling industries. Graduates gain knowledge in blueprint and geometric dimension & tolerancing, CAM modeling ,CAM (Computer-aided Manufacturing) and will be provided with foundational skills to work in the metal cutting or tooling fields. The program allows for graduates to receive their 429A General Machinist Level 1 apprenticeship equivalency; graduates in good standing can move on to enroll into the second year of Mechanical Engineering Technician-Industrial Diploma program or the second semester of the Mechanical Technician-CAD/CAM program. Upon completion, graduates also have the possibility for employment in different industries including aerospace, automotive, and pharmaceuticals.

The Master of Science in Management Information Systems (MSMIS) is a STEM program that introduces students to the challenging field of integrating information technology and organizational processes to meet the needs of businesses and other enterprises. The program's mission is to educate and prepare students with both IT aptitude and business understanding, qualifying them for successful careers in the IT field.


Outline:

The MSMIS program comprises four core courses and six electives. Students can choose to take two of those electives for study abroad, an internship, or a thesis paper.
