Program Overview

The Medical Laboratory Science program is a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma program that prepares students to become Medical Laboratory Technologists. Graduates will have the skills required to assess blood cells and microorganisms, provide chemical analysis of blood and body fluids, process tissue samples, and determine blood compatibility. The program is accredited by the Canadian Society of Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and graduates are eligible for CSMLS certification. Due to a nationwide shortage of Medical Laboratory Technologists, graduates have excellent job prospects in hospitals, medical laboratories, and research facilities.
