Program Overview

The Science and Technology in Society program at UWA offers a unique interdisciplinary exploration of science, technology, and their impact on society. It combines the biological and biomedical sciences with philosophical and historical perspectives, equipping students with critical thinking and contextual knowledge for socially responsible scientific research and technology. The program emphasizes communication skills, ethical considerations, and the examination of Indigenous knowledge, sex and gender, and evolutionary thinking in relation to science and technology.
