Program Overview

This Doctor of Philosophy program in Infectious Diseases provides advanced training in infectious diseases, preparing students for careers in medical science, public health, and other related fields. Led by Nobel Laureate Professor Barry Marshall, the program offers hands-on experience through placements at PathWest's diagnostic pathology laboratory and covers core units in infectious diseases, microbiology, epidemiology, and infection control. Completion of the program requires the submission of a doctoral thesis.
