The Graduate Certificate in Social Impact (GCSI) is designed to build the managerial capacity of professionals across the corporate, government, and not-for-profit sectors. The GCSI aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to:

  • The course is taught with a solid grounding in industry partnerships with major not-for-profit organizations, social finance and philanthropic representatives, specialist social impact measurement personnel, social design practitioners, corporate social responsibility personnel, social businesses and social enterprises, and human service government departments.

  • The Graduate Certificate in Social Impact provides a wide range of rewarding career opportunities including community services manager, community development planner, not-for-profit leader/CEO, business analyst in for-purpose sector, ethical investment professional, social entrepreneur, charity executive, social policy manager, public sector manager, philanthropy professional, and social Impact consultant.

Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:

(1) To be considered for admission to this course an applicant must have—(a) a Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, as recognised by UWA; and(b) the equivalent of a UWA weighted average mark of at least 50 per cent; and(c) at least two years professional experience in a relevant occupation; or(2) significant work experience including at least 5 years with a material level of responsibility.


Language Proficiency Requirements:

Minimum overall IELTS score of 6.5, with no band less than 6.0.
