Degree Overview:

The Master of Offshore and Coastal Engineering (MOCE) is a postgraduate program designed to equip graduates with the knowledge and practical skills to lead innovation in offshore and coastal engineering. The program is unique in its content and is designed to prepare graduates for a wide range of ocean-related career pathways. The MOCE program integrates disciplinary knowledge across the whole water column, from oceanography, hydrodynamics, structural and geotechnical engineering, and data science, to provide students with the multidisciplinary knowledge and practical skills required to analyze and design different ocean engineering solutions. The program is delivered by leading experts in the field, drawing on UWA's research expertise, global networks, industry connectivity, and breadth of oceans teaching.

Course Schedule:

  • Full-time/part-time duration: 1-2 years of full-time study

Teaching:

  • The course is taught by a number of academics with knowledge across areas of offshore and coastal engineering with expertise in oceanography, hydrodynamics, geotechnical engineering, and data science.
  • All teaching staff have high international research profiles and substantial experience working with a range of different ocean industries.
  • Teaching will also leverage expertise from industry Chairs based in the Oceans Graduate School, as well as contributions from research staff leading significant national ocean engineering research infrastructure such as the Coastal and Offshore Engineering Laboratory and the National Geotechnical Centrifuge Facility.
