Pre-Health - Undergraduate Certificate

About This Program

The Pre-Health undergraduate certificate prepares students who previously graduated from college with a non-health-related degree for careers in health care. The program structure is flexible in order to provide courses necessary for admission to a variety of professional schools including medical, dental, pharmacy, physician assistant and veterinary.

Admission Requirements

Admission to this certificate is selective. Applicants must meet the following criteria:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 3.000 undergraduate GPA on a 4.000-point scale
  • Demonstrated proficiency through the equivalent of college algebra or higher

International Students: All international students must provide proof of proficiency of the English language (unless they meet specific exceptions) through the submission of an English language proficiency test score or by completing English language classes at Kent State’s English as a Second Language Center before entering their program.
