Program Overview
The Associate of Technical Study in Environment Management provides students who have completed registered green industry apprenticeship or journeyman training programs with the administrative and supervisory skills necessary for roles in arboriculture, urban forestry, and landscape management. The program's curriculum includes coursework in management technology, customer service, office productivity, project management, and core academic areas such as communication, accounting, and the Kent Core. Graduates are prepared to apply technical skills, communication abilities, administrative principles, ethical decision-making, technology proficiency, and management strategies in the environmental industry.

Entry Requirements:
The university affirmatively strives to provide educational opportunities and access to students with varied backgrounds, those with special talents and adult students who graduated from high school three or more years ago. Kent State campuses at Ashtabula, East Liverpool, Geauga, Salem, Stark, Trumbull and Tuscarawas, and the Twinsburg Academic Center, have open enrollment admission for students who hold a high school diploma, GED or equivalent. Some programs may require that students meet certain requirements before progressing through the program.
