Program Overview
MSc Psychology
Overview
The MSc Psychology is a postgraduate course that provides a comprehensive understanding of the core areas of psychology, including biological, cognitive, lifespan, individual differences, and social psychology. The course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and is designed for those who intend to specialize in psychology.
Course Structure
The course consists of three stages: Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma, and Masters. The Postgraduate Certificate stage includes three core 20-credit modules and one zero-credit Skills and Careers in Psychology module. The Postgraduate Diploma stage includes two core 20-credit modules and one optional 20-credit module. The final Masters stage includes a 60-credit independent empirical research project.

Entry Requirements
- An undergraduate degree with Honours (in any subject) from a UK university or equivalent overseas qualification - at least a 2:2
- A Masters degree from a UK university or equivalent overseas qualification
- A psychology degree which hasn’t given you Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership - at least a 2.2
- An undergraduate degree from an overseas institution that is equivalent to the above UK qualifications
- GCSE/GCE O Level Maths: Grade C
- English language qualifications: GCE O level English Language C or GCSE English C
