Degree Overview:

The MSc in Information Systems Management (ISM) is a conversion program designed to enhance graduate employability.

Objectives:

Upon completion of the MSc. Information Systems Management, students will have acquired industry-standard skills and in-depth knowledge to:

• Apply effective decision making to global business problems.
• Identify, analyze and solve applied problems in individual- and team-based settings.
• Synthesise, evaluate and critically analyse technology solutions within a global context.
• Employ appropriate strategies, tools, and technologies to develop and manage contemporary business information system solutions.
• Demonstrate awareness of socially responsible and ethical factors within information systems development and management.

Outline:

Semester 1:

• Interactive Systems Design: This module covers the design of interactive systems, focusing on user experience, usability, and accessibility principles.
• Systems Development and Project Management: This module explores the principles and practices of systems development and project management, including methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Database Systems: This module delves into the fundamentals of database systems, including relational database design, SQL, and data management.
• Business Applications Programming: This module introduces students to programming concepts and techniques using C# and other relevant languages, focusing on business applications.
• Business Modelling and Analytics: This module explores business modeling techniques and data analytics methods, enabling students to analyze business data and make informed decisions.

Semester 2:

• Web Design & Development: This module covers the principles and practices of web design and development, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web technologies.
• Cloud Computing: This module introduces students to cloud computing concepts, technologies, and services, including cloud platforms, security, and deployment models.
• Enterprise Systems: This module examines enterprise systems, including ERP, CRM, and supply chain management systems, focusing on their implementation and management.

Major Group Project:

Students are required to complete a major group project by the end of June, applying the skills and knowledge acquired throughout the program to solve a real-world business problem.
