Program Overview

The Máistir Gairmiúil san Oideachas (MGO) is a two-year, full-time, Irish-language teacher education program at the University of Galway. It prepares teachers for the full-Irish language post-primary sector and is recognized by the Teaching Council of Ireland. The program emphasizes group work, active workshops, practical teaching, and technology. Graduates have a 100% employment rate and are highly sought after in Irish-language schools around the world.
