Program Overview

UWA's Early Childhood Education (ECE) program prepares students to teach in grades P-3 with a strong foundation in reading, management, assessment, technology, and teaching methodologies. Field placements and student teaching provide hands-on experience, leading to certification in Alabama. Graduates pursue careers as daycare workers, preschool teachers, and childcare center directors, with opportunities for further advancement through graduate studies.
