Program Overview

The University of Galway's Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) program, accredited by Engineers Ireland, prepares students for a career in civil engineering. This integrated five-year program offers two pathways: a BE+ME pathway with an advanced curriculum, research project, and work placement, and a BE pathway with a four-year curriculum and work placement. Graduates gain skills in planning, design, construction, and maintenance of the built environment, with career opportunities in consulting, contracting, government, and semi-state organizations.
