Assessment:
- Praxis I-CORE Academic Skills for Educators test: Required within the first 30 days of enrollment. Scores must be sent to UNO directly from ETS, using code RA6420.
- Background check and Nebraska Adult and Child Abuse & Neglect Registry Release: Required prior to enrollment and prior to each clinical field placement (externship).
- Ten-panel drug screen: Required prior to medical clinical field placement (externship).
- Praxis II - Subject Assessment test: Required prior to applying for graduation. Scores must be sent to UNO directly from ETS, using code RA0174.
- Clinical Cumulative Evaluation: Required for completion of the program.
- Comprehensive exam: Required for the non-thesis option.
Other:
- Fast Track Program: This program allows highly qualified and motivated students to complete a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in an accelerated time frame.
- Essential Skills and Abilities: Candidates are expected to demonstrate essential skills and abilities in five areas: communication, motor, intellectual-cognitive, sensory-observational, and behavioral-social. Plagiarism will result in an automatic failing grade for the assignment.
- Clinical Externships: Students must complete a minimum of 400 clinical clock hours.
- Exit Requirements: Students must complete a minimum of 400 clinical clock hours, successfully complete the Clinical Cumulative Evaluation, and complete the Praxis II exam.
